Staging a house to sell...
...is a relatively new profession and especially valuable in a slow real estate market. Studies have shown that a home that has been staged really DOES sell faster! You've seen the tv shows too. It is very hard to look at your own space objectively, and most importantly, CREATIVELY.
Watch out for people who claim to be "certified" home stagers. There is no such thing, although they may have taken a few hours of training and moved furniture around a bit. I have 20 years experience in interior design and know how to improvise using what you already own to improve the way a buyer will see your home.
Although you will need to compromise your living experience a bit to showcase your home, I will be gentle with you! We will simply decide which items to pack first as you get a jump on your move. Are you a Real Estate Agent? You can trust me to be a kind "bad guy" while you maintain your positive relationship with your client. (AND see the reward of a commission check sooner than if you tried to stage the house yourself!)

How does it work? We start with a consultation, I will chatter away about my impressions and suggestions, take photos and present you with a room by room report of prioritized lists. ($150)
From there, you can go it alone and follow the plan, or we can negotiate about what you would like me to conquer on an hourly basis, or if we can firmly define the project, a flat fee. I can help you find resources or shop with you or FOR you. It really is all up to you and I will never spend your money without you knowing exactly what is going on. I understand that moving time is stressful, and money can be especially tight during the transition time.
Do think though about your mortgage costs, your utilities and other carrying costs that add up month after month. Wouldn't it be better to sell it FASTER?
